For the first in our new preaching series in 1 Samuel for Sunday mornings, Debbie Laycock looks at 1 Samuel 1:1-28 where Hannah gives birth to Samuel and ‘lends’ him to the Lord.

Ichthus meetings

The Ichthus Forest Hill congregation holds its meetings at the Bonhoeffer Church in Dacres Road. As the Covid-19 virus is still around, please use careful behaviour to help limit any infections and to show loving concern for others, especially those who are vulnerable in their health.

Ichthus Christian Fellowship continues to hold meetings at the Bonhoeffer Church and the Ichthus Prayer House and information about these will be given by the congregation’s Prayer Planning and house group leaders.

Wednesday, 16th October

House Groups
We will be meeting in house groups tonight, so please contact your house group leaders for further details

Alpha Course
The third meeting of the Alpha Course is this evening at 7.30pm at the Forest Cafe and Bistro on Perry Vale, SE23. Bring friends, neighbours and family. All attending should let Debbie know.

Thursday 17th October

Art Forum
The Art Forum will meet this evening. Please contact Walter or Jorella for further details

Friday 18th October

Dandelions
Our parent/carer and toddler group will be meeting at Sydenham Library on Sydenham Road at 10.15am

Friday Group
The daytime house group will be meeting at 12.30pm at Ichthus House. Please contact the house group leaders for details

Popcorn After School Club
Our after-school club for 5-11 yr olds will be meeting in the back hall of the Bonhoeffer from 4.30-6.00pm for games, craft and Bible stories

Ichthus Half Night of Prayer
We will be meeting at Ichthus House from 8.00-12.00pm for a time of worship and prayer, interceding for local, national and international matters

Saturday 19th October

Men’s Breakfast
The men of the congregation will be gathering at Ichthus House at 8.30am to share breakfast, fellowship and prayer.

Sunday 20th October

Sunday morning meeting
We will be holding our meeting in the Bonhoeffer Church at 10.45am-12.30pm for a time of worship, fellowship and a bible talk. Shirley Embleton will lead the meeting, Ethan Hayn will lead worship and Henry George will give the bible talk from 1 Samuel 7:1-14 ‘Return to the Lord’. Tea and coffee will be served afterwards.

There aren’t any concurrent Sunday morning livestream meetings.
