For the first of our Advent Bible talks Debbie Laycock looks at Luke 1:1-25, the account of Zacharius and Elizabeth and the birth of John the Baptiser. Debbie considers our spiritual inheritance, spiritual opposition and spiritual disciplines.

Ichthus meetings

The Ichthus Forest Hill congregation holds its Sunday meetings at the Bonhoeffer Church in Dacres Road. Midweek and other weekend gatherings meet locally at the Ichthus Prayer House and Ichthus House, and in members’ homes.

Ichthus Christian Fellowship continues to hold meetings at the Bonhoeffer Church and the Ichthus Prayer House, along with other venues.

Information about these meetings will be given below, at our meetings, on our printed congregation monthly calendar and on the ICF website.

Wednesday, 4th February

Prayer Walking
For those from the congregation who would like and are able to join us to pray for an hour around Forest Hill, we will meet at the Prayer House car park at 9.30am

Friday 6th February

Dandelions
Our parent/carer and toddler group will be meeting at Sydenham Library this morning at 10.15am

Friday House Group
The daytime house group will meet at Ichthus House at 12.30pm. Please contact your house group leaders for more details

Popcorn After School Club
Our Popcorn Club for children aged between 5-11yrs old will gather from 4.30-6.00pm in the back hall of the Bonhoeffer Church for fun, games, craft, singing and learning about Jesus

Sunday, 8th February

Sunday morning meeting
We will be gathering in the Bonhoeffer Church at 10.45am-12.30pm for fellowship, prayer, worship and a Bible talk continuing our series in the Gospel of John. Debbie Laycock will lead our meeting, Ethan Hayn will lead worship and Steve Smith will speak on John 6:22-59. Tea and coffee will be served afterwards.

There aren’t any concurrent livestream meetings. Previous bible talks, Ichthus Bible Strong and some worship sessions can be found on the Ichthus Christian Fellowship website or subscribe to our YouTube channel (youtube.com/user/ichthuscf), and join us to think about the message of Jesus and how this connects to life today.
